Itinerary: Orvieto - Perugia - Castiglione del Lago - Sant'Anatolia di Narco - Borgo Cerreto - Assisi

DAY 1: ORVIETO - PERUGIA

Departure from the chosen location and arrival in Orvieto.

We recommend a stop at one of the most famous wineries in the area, Cantine Neri, where you can take a tour of the cellars and tasting three wines combined with a light lunch. All for a duration of 120 minutes. Cost of guidance per person

Continue to the historic center of Orvieto for a visit on foot of this enchanting town. At the end, we suggest a fantastic aperitif in the center of Orvieto, at the Oleoteca Bartolomei, a meeting point to share and spread the culture of olive oil. A cozy place near the famous Duomo, with an old stone mill, where you can eat, like a table.

Make yourself comfortable: bruschettine, specialties in oil, will delight your palate!

As an alternative for families or the curious Orvieto Underground: a pleasant guided tour that winds along a very easy path that allows you to know the underground of Orvieto, made by the ancient inhabitants in about 2500 years of uninterrupted excavations. A one-hour trip to discover a thousand-year-old, surprising and unexpected "Underground City".

 2nd DAY: CASTIGLIONE DEL LAGO

After breakfast, destination Castiglione del Lago, characteristic town of Lake Trasimeno. Since 7 February 2006 Lake Trasimeno has officially joined the world association Living Lakes, a borderless network that protects and protects the lake ecosystems of each country that stand out for their significant historical, cultural and landscape interest. The association includes 41 lakes all over the world, such as Vittoria, Titicaca, Balaton, Dead Sea, and Trasimeno, which, unique in Italy, has recently been added to the ranks.

So a day dedicated to discovering the lake!

We suggest the ferry tour of the islands, leaving the car in San Feliciano to catch one of the early morning ferries to Polvese Island. After visiting the Isola Polvese (which takes about 2-4 hours), take the ferry back to San Feliciano and go to Castiglione del Lago. Situated on a promontory overlooking Lake Trasimeno, Castiglione del Lago is one of the most beautiful villages of district of Lake Trasimeno.

In the evening, return to the hotel, overnight.

3rd DAY: VALNERINA

After breakfast, departure for the visit of the Museum of Hemp to Sant'Anatolia di Narco. The museum is a meeting place, exchange of practices and transmission of skills, in which the textile project, fulcrum of the teaching experience, builds opportunities for dialogue between institutions, new generations and museum professionals, holders of tradition and weavers apprentices.

At the end, stop for lunch based on local specialties. After lunch departure for a visit to Borgo Cerreto, an ancient castle located at the confluence of the river Vigi with the river Nera, in the territory of Cerreto di Spoleto. The center, which developed in the late medieval period, was built on a crossroads that had great importance since pre-Roman and Roman times; in fact the border between the ancient regions of Sabina and Umbria ran here. Today it is a characteristic village where you can buy typical and artisanal products. At the end, return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

4th DAY: ASSISI AND ITS DOMUS

After breakfast departure for an unusual tour of Assisi: visit with segway and guide, a dynamic and alternative tour of the city that will appeal to adults and children.

And for lunch ... .Street Food: tasting of typical Umbrian text cake stuffed with cold cuts, vegetables or sausages and local wine After lunch departure for the return.
